Le Carl Gustav, St. Barth

An elegant Carribean house with a Riviera feel.

When architects Gilles & Boussier designed the Carl Gustav Hotel in St Barth, they imagined a traditional Caribbean house. It had to be a tribute to the history of the island and exude the feeling that it had always been there. A mission they successfully completed.

Warm wood tones such as smoked oak, sandblasted spruce or light cedar are combined with exuberantly exotic fabrics to create a sense of relaxed elegance. Large windows, doors and open spaces highlight the seamless transition between the hotel's 21 rooms and suites and outdoor living.

The large veranda offers a fantastic view over Gustavia and is the ideal spot to enjoy the island's most wonderful sunsets.

Carribean architecture and Riviera spirit set the tone for each bungalow.
